Welcome to My Blog
A fresh start. Find out what you can discover in this blog and why I decided not to carry over any old articles.
So this is my new website. I hope you like it. I've put a lot of effort into it. At the same time, the decision to build a new website raised many questions, such as:
- What do I actually want to offer on my website?
- What technical basis do I want to use?
- Who should my website appeal to?
- What will I discuss in the blog?
- What happens to the old website and articles?
What Do I Want to Offer on My Website?
This question is relatively easy to answer. Of course I want to offer a kind of self-presentation in the context of my professional activities as an SAP Finance consultant and trainer. In addition to this blog there will also be a project area showing insights into my work. A detailed "About Me" page is naturally included too.
What Technical Basis?
Classic CMS systems like WordPress, Typo3, or Joomla were ruled out from the start. After some consideration, I chose a static site built with Astro – a JavaScript web framework optimised for developing fast, content-oriented websites. Astro's documentation is genuinely exemplary.
Who Should My Website Appeal To?
Simply put: everyone! Naturally this website should appeal to potential clients – primarily SAP education partners and companies migrating to SAP S/4HANA. At the same time I want to share important content with my course participants, such as best practices or important hints for their certification. Of course anyone interested in my work is welcome to get in touch.
What Will I Discuss in the Blog?
In this blog you'll find my thoughts and experiences, practical guides, hard-won lessons, and occasionally a rant about SAP or life as a trainer and lecturer. Look forward to an interesting mix of topics.
What Happens to the Old Articles?
I have decided to give up my old publications. They won't be mentioned anywhere anymore. This is partly because many articles and publications are already outdated. It simply makes no sense to share outdated information. This website starts fresh from the beginning. But every beginning holds the magic of the unknown...
